Rihanna Teases Long-Awaited Album: "It's Gonna Be Amazing"

At the Fenty Beauty launch, Rihanna revealed her commitment to quality and growth, hinting that her next album will showcase her evolution as an artist and be well worth the wait.

The world will never stop asking Rihanna about her new album, especially when the bad gal grants reporters access! Recently, Rihanna celebrated the launch of her new Fenty Beauty Soft’lit Foundation in Los Angeles, and of course, there was a carpet. So when Extra! caught Rza and Riot’s mother, they asked about the album. Obliging to the desperation for fresh Rihanna tunes, she told them, "It's gonna be amazing. It has to be — that is the only reason it's not out yet. If I'm not feeling it and I'm not feeling like it represents the evolution, the time I spent away. There should be a show of growth, right?"

It has been eight years since Rihanna’s last album, “Anti,” and the Bajan beauty has been busy! On top of being a new mom to two under two, Rihanna’s also pouring into her CEO bag with Fenty–the skincare, makeup, and fashion.

A few weeks ago, Rihanna celebrated the release of her new Fenty x Puma Creeper Phatty Earth Tone sneaker. Even when she spreads her talents outside of music, the music keeps people talking. During that event, “Entertainment Tonight” asked Ri Ri to share anything about the new music she's been working on. Of course, Mama didn’t share, but she did say that she thinks it'll be worth the wait, calling her new tracks "so good."

Rihanna Shares Insight Behind Her 2024 Met Gala Dress

The music is so good that the father of Rihanna’s children, rapper A$AP Rocky, has been discussing rapping over the beats for himself. "Me and Rocky are really trying to figure out who is going to use what," Rihanna said. It’s evident that there’s no lack of music in Rihanna’s house, studio, or wherever she’s putting these tracks down. She said, "I already got stuff that I feel like I can make hits out of. Really."

Rihanna’s just taking her sweet time, even if it’s driving her fans crazy. The music is surely going to be well worth the wait. "I want to play, and I feel like music is a playground, and I want to have fun with it and show truly where I am at,” Rihanna teased of “R9.” While there’s no date, this tease is enough to know that Rihanna has something coming. She joked that she wanted to know the release date, too!
